Chaung Tha Beach
Chaung Tha beach is a beautiful sea resort with clean sand in Myanmar. Chaung Tha beach is located in Ayeyarwaddy division to the south of Rakhine state. There are some standard and budget accommodations available there.
Tourists can hire boats to visit small islands at sea of Bengal. Going to Chaung Tha from Yangon, it takes 4 hrs drive to Pathein ( capital of Ayeyarwaddy division ) and another 4 hrs over 1000 feet Rakhine mountains to get to the sea beach.
Yangon to Pathein is 184 km, and Pathein to Chaung Tha is another 55 km of still rough road over streams and mountains.
