Taung Thaman lake
Taung Thaman lake is located just south of Mandalay ( 17 km south of Mandalay palace ). Taung Thaman lake is a source of water for the villages in surrounding areas. The large part of the lake, however, is almost dry during the summer time. In the picture is seen a man herding ducks on the water. The famous Ubein's bridge made of teakwood span across the lake in the middle ( not shown in the picture ).
Taung Thaman lake is located in Amarapura township of Mandalay division.
