Shittaung Temple in Mrauk Oo
This is Shittaung Temple ( Shittaung means 80,000 in Myanmar language ), an ancient temple, in Mrauk Oo of northern Rakhine state, Myanmar.
Shittaung temple was built in 1535. It is believed that 84,000 of the Buddha's relics with the same number of the Lord's images are enshrined in it. People who entered the tunnels of the temple feeled that they were actually inside an endless tunnel.
