Kalaw Market - Shan state
People from different hilltribe villages come to this place in Kalaw to trade, sell and buy produce most of which are farm products. They come once every 5 days. This is a busy day in the town of hilly Shan state in the east of Myanmar. On this market day people can buy village produce such as fruits, vegetables and handicrafts directly from the producers with cheaper price than normal market price. Merkets like this exist in many towns on the Shan mountains.
