Below are a few Myanmar artists featured in this web site. There will be more artists in the future as our works progress. Most of these artists have already generated fames through other exhibitions and art galleries both inside and outside of Myanmar.
U Mya Aye (or) Mr. Mya Aye
U Mya Aye graduated from the 3 years course of the state school of fine arts in 1962. In 1963 he finished Stage Decoration Arts course offered by Ministry of Culture.
In 1964 he was sent to China to study Chinese language in Beijing. He studied water color painting and wood curving in Central University of Arts in Beijing.
He has created numerous artworks for the exhibitions, shows, temples, organisations and individual persons. He has been teaching arts in the state school of fine arts in Yangon for many years.
In 1991 he return to Beijing Central University fo Arts to obtain Bechelor's degree in fine arts.
U Mya Aye is living in Yankin township of Yangon.
U Soe Moe (or) Mr. Soe Moe
Born in 1944, Soe Moe started painting and drawing since his childhood. U Soe Moe graduated from the state school of fine arts in 1967 in Yangon. He studied under Mr. Harry Aung, U Tin Hla ( poster artist ), U Thein Han, U Thu Kha, U Lun Gywe, U San Win and U Ngwe Gaing.
Many of his works are in collections in Japan, Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, France, USA, etc. and Myanmar.
U Soe Moe has participated in many arts exhibitions both inside and outside Myanmar.
Sai Wai Hlyan
Sai Wai Hlyan was born in 1957. He studied at evening classes at the state school of fine arts, under the artists: U Thu Kha, U Kyaw Lay, U Maung Maung Thein, U Mya Aye and Win Pe Myint.
Sai Wai Hlyan has created many artworks for exhibitions inside and outside Myanmar.
Maung Myint Aung
Maung Myint Aung was born in 1959. He studied arts under U Thu Kha, U Mya Aye and U Maung Maung Thein. He started his professional artist life in 1984.
He has organized a few solo art shows in Myanmar.
Hla Phone Aung
Hla Phone Aung was born in 1966. He studied under the artists: U Lun Gywe, U Kyaw Lay, U Mya Aye, U Thit Lwin Soe and U Hsay Yoe.
He started painting in 1974. He has won several art contests since his childhood in Myanmar. He graduated from the state school of fine arts in Yangon in 1991.
Hla Phone Aung has taken part in many exhibitions inside and outside Myanmar. His favorite medium are water color and oil.
Myint Aung
Born in 1968 in Mon state, Myint Aung studied under U Lun Ngwe, U Kyaw Lay, U M.Tin Aye, U Mya Aye, U Thit Lwin Soe, U Myint San and U Hsay Yoe.
He graduated from state school of fine arts in Yangon in 1991. He also has graduated in sculpture from the same school in 1994. His favorite medium are water color and oil.
He has finished several exhibitions ocerseas and in Yangon.
Aye Min
Born in 1969, Aye Min graduated from state school of fine arts in 1992. He studied under U Lun Ngwe and U Tin Aye. Aye Min started painting in 1982 and has taken part in several art exhibitions and auctions inside and outside Myanmar.
His favorite medium are water color and oil.
Myoe Win Aung
Myoe Win Aung was born in 1972 in Yangon.
He studied under U Lun Gywe, U Kyaw Lay, U Mya Aye and U thit Lwin Soe, and graduated from state school of fine arts in Yangonn in 1989.
Myoe Win Aung also has taken part in several exhibitions and autions overseas and in Myanmar. His favorite medium are water color and oil.
